Teodoro Paz Hernandez

December 27th, 1934 - December 21st, 2017

Teodoro Hernandez, age 82, died on December 21, 2017. He passed peacefully at home with family. Teodoro “Ted” was born in Madero Texas on Dec 27, 1934. He was married to Isidra Rodriguez Hernandez in 1964 until her death in February of 1987. He was also preceded in death by one son, Amos, who died in February of 2016. He is survived by six children –Rita (Thomas), Diana (Casillas), Elizabeth (Esparza), Teddy (Hernandez), Rebecca (Hernandez), and Jonas (Hernandez); 23 grandchildren and multiple great grand-children, nieces and nephews He worked as a migrant farm worker for many years with his extended family and worked at U.S. Steel in Joliet Illinois before moving to Idaho. In Idaho, he worked for J.R. Simplot until his retirement. He was a gardener extraordinaire, loved scratching lottery tickets and endless cups of coffee at Denny’s. He had a quick wit and made us laugh even to the end. He loved his grandchildren and spent lots of time talking and playing with them. He especially enjoyed his multiple phone calls with Jerikka every day and weekly adventure trips with Jasmine, his two eldest granddaughters. He was proud of his kids and argued politics with the talking heads on TV. One of his greatest joys was reuniting with his daughter Rita and connecting with her children and grandchildren. Ted was well loved by his family and friend. We will miss you Dad. Funeral services will be Friday December 29, 2017 1:00 PM at the Sunnyridge Assembly of God Church ( 2121 Sunnyridge Road) Nampa. Inturment will follow at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa. Service Information
