Teresa Montanez, 77, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2015, surrounded by her loving family in Monterey, CA. She was born on May 10, 1938 in Michoacán, Mexico. Teresa was a loving and caring person, who touched many hearts. Teresa is survived by, her loving husband of 58 years, Rodolfo Montanez her children, Maria M. Alcala (Ramiro) Daniel Montanez (Kathleen), Gera Montanez Gigi M. Dominguez (Daniel) Lupe M. Valenzuela (Paul) and Terry M. Placencia (Junior) all of Salinas 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart sisters, Rosa Soria and Sara Pulido along with many nieces, nephews and other loving family. She is preceded in death by her son, Manuel Montanez in 2011. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 1-9pm with a Rosary vigil at 7pm, all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2015 10am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church 240 Calle Cebu Salinas, CA 93901. Burial to follow services at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.
