Terri Helwig, 59, passed away peacefully with her family by her side June 21, 2024, at UC Davis in Sacramento, CA. Born on July 26 1964, in Yuba City, CA.Terri lived a life full of love, family, and enjoying the little things. She was married to her husband, Alan Helwig for 38 years.Terri is survived by her husband, Alan; her two children, Michael (Melissa) Helwig of Yuba City, CA and Nicholaus (Bailey) Helwig of Wellington, CO. She was a loving grandma to Clayton, Bentley and Hannah.Terri also leaves behind her parents, John and Dewey Marler of Yuba City, CA; sister, Kay McMullen of Paris, TX; and her brothers, Gregg and Glenn Marler of Yuba City, CA; along with many aunts and uncles.Terri loved being with her family when she was growing up and talked many times about her dad, mom, sister, brothers and close friends as they went on many adventures and road trips in their camper.She also loved horses competing and winning barrel racing events. Crowned Miss Yuba Sutter in 1982, Terri was a loving soul and putting everyone's needs in front of her own.Married to Alan Helwig in 1986, and lived most of her life in Yuba City with both of her sons Michael and Nicholaus.Terri enjoyed racing with her family for over 10 years as her boys were growing up and made numerous lasting and loving relationships at many racetracks.Always putting her sons and husband in front of her own needs, she loved we were together as a family every weekend.Later in life enjoying spending time with her grandchildren and enjoying just being around home, talking with her sons every day, just checking in to make sure they and their families were okay.Terri was fortunate enough to work at her family farm for the last 15 years with her dad and brothers and her husband for the last 5 years. Being able to see her parents and brothers daily, she loved being there.Her favorite memories with her sister included kayaking on the lake shopping bingo and just spending time together.Services will be held at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond Street in Yuba City, CA, on Sunday July 14, 2024, at 1pm.A Celebration of Life immediately following the service at Ag 4 Trucking 2990 North Township Road Yuba City, CA.
