Terry Steiner passed away on May 12, 2016 of Pancreatitis at OHSU hospital. Preceeded in death by his sister, Bernadette Marie Terry on February 11, 2016 and his father Valentine Philip Steiner on March 24, 1984. Terry was born on March 8, 1954 in Mandan, North Dakota. His family moved to Hillsboro, Oregon when he was the age of 4. During his elementary years he attended St. Mathews Catholic School up through 8th grade and graduated from Hilhi in 1972. After high school Terry went to work for Tektronix and went to Portland Community College part time. It was there at Tektronix where he met his wife Robin Burke and were married on July 6, 1974. Shortly following they had their daughter Teresa (TJ) in 1975 and proceeded with son Eric in 1976. In 1996 Terry and Robin moved to Rainier, Oregon where they lived in Robin’s grandmother home for 18 years. It was due to Terry’s health reasons that they decided to move back to Hillsboro in 2013. Terry and Robin were married for 42 years. Terry’s career consisted of working as a Purchasing Manager for various high tech manufacturing companies in the Willamette Valley. It was while working Terry continued his education and completed his Bachelors degree in Business and MBA at Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego. Family time consisted of camping trips, vacations in the U.S., softball, and spending time with extended family playing cards and socializing. Terry’s hobbies, were decorating wedding cakes, making Christmas candies and rosaries. He also donated his time for Meals on Wheels, grant writing for Birth Right, St. Mathews School Board and Parents Club, Hillsboro High School Union spokes person for contract workers, member of the finance and budget committee for the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Church in Rainer and coaching age 14-16 girls softball. Terry is survived by his large extended family, siblings, Tim Steiner, Valerie Cannard, Vicki Davis and Rick Steiner, mother Luella Steiner, wife Robin, daughter TJ, son Eric and 7 grandchildren. Celebration of Life Service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Beaverton, Oregon on Saturday May 21 at 11:00, reception following. Private family burial will be prior to the Celebration of Life Service. Service Information
