Terrence "Terry" Lindsey May
May 6th, 1943 - March 7th, 2017
Terrence (Terry) Lindsey May III passed away on March 7, 2017. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church, 4040 Sunset Drive, Lake Oswego, OR 97035. Terry was born May 6, 1943 in New Castle, PA. A resident of the Territory of Hawaii prior to statehood, he was a proud Boy Scout and a graduate of Punahou School in Honolulu. Terry was a graduate of Lewis and Clark College and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Later, Terry served as an officer in the U. S. Navy on the USS Kitty Hawk during the Viet Nam war. Terry is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia (Bukowski) May and by his sister, Katherine May Tyrrell (Chuck) of Lebanon, MO. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Terrence Lindsey May Jr. and Katherine (Anderson) May and his brother, Eric May. A salesman by profession, Terry was defined and enriched by the relationships he formed. His giving and generous nature focused mainly on friends, neighbors and church families where he served as an elder and a deacon in San Anselmo, CA, Bellevue, WA and at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church in Lake Oswego, OR. In lieu of flowers, contributions to WaterAfrica, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation can be made at www.waterafrica.org
