Terrence "Terry" E. Reynolds

TERRENCE E. (TERRY) REYNOLDS Terry, husband of the late Jacqueline Parker Reynolds, passed from this life on March 13, 2023. Terry was born in November of 1938, to George Edward and Catherine Cecelia (Kerr) Reynolds in Denver, Colorado. He earned Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and Master of Business Administration Degrees from the University of Detroit. He worked in engineering and manufacturing management positions for Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Corp., American Motors and Jeep Corporation. He retired in 1999 as Senior Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Operations for Midas International Corporation. He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie and is survived by his brother Michael Reynolds (Pam), children Suzanne May (Joe), Thomas Reynolds (Tracy), Michael Reynolds (Nancy); stepson William Easton and six grandchildren and four great grandchild. Upon retirement Terry and Jackie moved to Moss Creek Plantation in Hilton Head, South Carolina. There they made many new friends and enjoyed the amenities Moss Creek provided. Terry was active in the governance of the community and was President of the Moss Creek Owners Association in 2004. Terry enjoyed golf, and played as often as possible enjoying the company of fellow golfers. St. Patrick’s Day was his favorite holiday, and he and Jackie hosted many fun St. Patrick’s Day events. During retirement, Terry volunteered for many Hilton Head and Bluffton charities including St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, Bluffton Boys and Girls Club, and Meals on Wheels. He also was a member of the Bluffton Township Fire District Commission for many years and served as Chairman from 2012 to 2014. In 2015 Jackie and Terry moved to the TidePointe retirement community on Hilton Head Island. There Terry volunteered on TidePointe Community Association committees and the Board of Directors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 5 at 10am at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Saint Francis by the Sea Catholic School, 45 Beach City Road, Hilton Head, SC 29926.
