Terri Sue Amundson, age 56, died February 27th, 2018 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. A Gathering of Friends and Family will be 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Saturday March 10, 2018 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel in Kernersville, NC. A time for prayer and remembrance will begin at 5:00 P.M. She was born to James Carroll Amundson and Mary Elaine Amundson on January 22, 1962 in Spokane Washington. After graduating from John Marshall Senior High School Terri studied Nursing, originally receiving her LPN license but eventually earning a degree as an RN after several years of hard work. She valued her work as a nurse and was especially proud of her work at Duke Hospital. She worked as a nurse for many years and enjoyed taking care of patients at the bedside. When not practicing nursing, Terri enjoyed the company of family and her many friends. She had especially fond memories of spending time at Moosenose cabin in Northern Minnesota with family when she was growing up. And if you spent enough time with Terri, you would know that eventually she would break out into song and regale you with a tune. In fact, she performed in the school productions The King and I and Fiddler on the Roof when in high school which was something she was very proud of. And it seemed Terri never met a person that she didn’t like. She was always trying to make new friends, and wouldn’t hesitate to give a friend or stranger anything she thought they needed if she felt she could in any way help them or make life better for them. Yet the accomplishment that meant the most to Terri was being the mother of her daughter, Jenna Amundson Moss. She often spoke of her love for her daughter and how proud she was of the adult Jenna had become. Terri was preceded in death by her father, James Amundson. Terri is survived by her mother, Mary Amundson; a daughter, Jenna Amundson Moss and Dalton, two granddaughters; sisters, Lynn Roudebush and Kim Grose, and many extended family and friends.
