Terry D. Butcher, age 50, of Broadalbin passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, September 5, 2011. He was born on December 10, 1960 in Elmira, NY the son of Larry Butcher and Joanne Porto. Terry was an avid New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins fan. He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and love to coach and teach young children sports. He coached both Gloversville Little League Baseball and Gloversville Little Huskies Football. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Terry is survived by his two children: Nico Butcher Brittany Urban of Broadalbin, Jaime Dauphinet Joe of Elmira, NY, as well as his significant other, Lynne Sherman of Broadalbin, three step children: Nick Slade of Broadalbin, Daniel Slade Adrienne of Mayfield, Kristin Slade of Broadalbin, 5 grandchildren: Devin Butcher, Rebecca Slade, Emily Slade, Bailey Slade, Olivia Hall and two sisters: Leslie Murray James of Broadalbin and Chelsea Butcher of New Smyrna Beach, FL. Family and friends are invited to a gathering at the Robert Lee Walsh American Legion Post #337 Pavilion on State Highway 29 from 12 Noon until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday September 10, 2011. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Terry to the Terry D. Butcher Memorial Fund C/O NBT Bank Vail Mills office, P.O. Box 668, Broadalbin, NY 12025.
