Terry Eugene Moss

Terry Eugene Moss, 77, of Columbia, SC departed this life February 6, 2022 after a brief but fierce battle with cancer. The family is grateful for the health care and hospice professionals who eased his path. The son of Mae Margaree Beckham Moss and Forrest Brown Moss of Great Falls, SC, Terry graduated from the University of South Carolina as an Electrical Engineer. After helping NASA and the US win the space race, he enjoyed a long career at Bell South. Terry loved astronomy, golfing and lunching with friends, rocking babies, and could always be found at the front of the line for any family dinner or buffet. For over 30 years, he fed and cared for the Statler Rd. Feral Cat Colony, rescuing many kittens and helping decrease the area cat population. Terry was preceeded in death by his daughter Aimee Elizabeth Moss. He is survived by his children James Lewismoss (Melanie), Matthew Moss, and Katherine Moss; grandsons David and Alexander Lewismoss; his sister Gail Gates (John); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Birth and Life will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church, 407 Dearborn Street, Great Falls, SC. Dress is casual and masks are appreciated. In lieu of flowers, Terry would tell you to keep your money in your pocket and never be in debt to anyone.
