Terry Thomas Stewart passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family on February 9th, 2022. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 23rd, 1941 to Thomas Wilson Stewart and Blanche Sarah Dull. Terry moved to Portland, Oregon at a young age and was raised in the Parkrose area. After graduating from High School in 1959, Terry got an Associate Degree from Portland State University. He spent most of his professional life working in the financial industry. On August 10th, 1982 Terry married the love of his life, Peggy. They were married for over 39 years. Their blended family consists of four sons; Terry, Tim, Patrick, Craig and daughter, Chelle. Terry enjoyed playing tennis, racquetball, pickleball and poker with friends and neighbors. He also loved camping, fishing and traveling with LeRoy and Liz Stroeder. One of his favorite trips was to see the pyramids in Egypt. Vacationing on Catalina Island was another memorable trip with Peggy and her sisters; Alice, Susan, Nancy and spouses. The light of Terry’s life was spending time with his grandchildren and family. There were trips to Enchanted Forest, the Zoo, the grandkid’s sporting events, birthdays at Pizza Caboose, and countless family BBQ’s, with lots of love and laughter. The annual family weekend to Hood Canal and crazy Christmas Eves were so special. Terry left us with a lasting imprint of the importance of family. Terry was preceded in death by Thomas and Blanche Stewart. He is survived by his wife Peggy, four sons; Terry, Patrick, Tim, Craig and daughter, Chelle. Sister; Robin Stewart Runyon, 12 grandchildren and two great granddaughters. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday March 5th, 2022 at the River House in Hillsboro.
