Terry Michael Webster

Terry was born in Seattle, Washington to Stewart and Ethel Webster. Terry spent most of his childhood in West Seattle, and often spoke fondly of childhood memories. In 1951, Terry and his family moved to Tacoma, Washington, where he attended Stadium High School and graduated with the Class of 1953. Terry met the love of his life and future bride, Dorothy Lumm, while attending Stadium High School. They began dating while both were attending school at the College of Puget Sound (now named U.P.S.). Terry and Dorothy were married on August 9th, 1955, and remained married for an incredible 57 years. Together they raised three boys, Stephen (Marti), Daniel, and Robert (Sharon). With the exception of a very short stay in California, they resided in Fircrest, Washington Terry had many passions in life. These included family, sailing, power boating, and attending sporting events. Terry knew no greater joy than watching his own kids compete in swimming and track and field. He could also always be counted on for his unwavering support of his grandkids. Terry was an accomplished sailboat racer and won a countless number of trophies throughout his racing years. Terry passed away with his family at his side as he graduated to heaven; he was surrounded by love and was very peaceful. The family takes comfort in knowing that Dad is resting with God, and because of faith, we will all see him again one day. In addition to being survived by his wife Dorothy and his three sons, Terry is also survived by grandchildren Chelsea Larson (Brad), Sean, Robby Jr., Katie, Brian, Andrew, Todd Early (Dawn), Stephanie Hilfer (Brian), and Steven Lonyo. Terry is also survived by his lifelong partner in crime, best friend, and big brother, Ken Webster. Terry also has two sisters, Cathryn and Colleen, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family is requesting that remembrances be made in Terry's name to the Music Ministry at University Place Presbyterian Church, or to your favorite charity. A memorial service for Terry is scheduled for Thursday, June 27th, at 2PM, University Place Presbyterian Church, 8101 27th Street West, University Place, WA.
