Theda Marie Partin

Lexington, Kentucky Lexington- Theda Marie Bowman Partin, devoted wife of Bob R. Partin for Fifty-seven years died March 11, 2015 of ovarian cancer. She was born October 25, 1939 in Owsley County, Kentucky to James F. and Ruby Wilson Bowman. Theda worked part-time as Kentucky Insurance Arbitration secretary for sixteen years and retired from McAlpins in 1998. She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church forty-seven years serving in different capacities and volunteered for the Owsley County Historical Society before her illness. Theda enjoyed Bible Study class taught by Jim Eastburn, reading, crossword puzzles and quilting. Besides her loving husband, Bob, she is survived by three daughters, Dena Terry (Kevin) of Lebanon, TN, Janell Adams (Mike Murphy) of Lancaster, KY, and Amy Miller (Freddie) of Stonewall, LA, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Survivors also include her sister, Rose Bowman Terrell (Mickey) of Owensboro, KY, brother-in-law, Herbert Partin (Lana) Corbin, KY, an aunt, Imogene Turner of Winchester, KY, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Ann Bowman Manooch and brother, James F. Bowman, II. Funeral Information Memorial services will be at Rosemont Baptist Church, Rosemont Garden Friday, March 13th at 6:00 pm with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm.
