Theda Linda Scott, 85, of Kernersville passed away on December 9, 2023, at her residence. A native of McColl, South Carolina, she was born May 6, 1938, to the late Clarence and Ruth (Turner) Hucks and wife of the late Rev. Pete Scott for 62 years. She was loved by many and known for her kind passionate heart and her love of shoes and jewelry. A woman of great faith for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She enjoyed talking, visiting with her family, cooking and an occasional "side- eye". She was a blessing to many and to have known her truly was to love her. Theda is survived by her son, James Phillip Scott and wife Jennifer, grandchildren, Haleigh Scott, Kristopher Carroll, Amber and husband Ryan Driggers, Adam and wife Elizabeth Johnson, Nicole, Bridgett and Harley, great grandchildren, Kelcie, Samantha, Blake, Khloe, Ariana, Julian, and Bryson, great- great grandchildren, Charleigh, Dean, Lilly and Lucas and a host of relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Johnson, son, Terry Scott, and sisters, Jean Jones and Joyce Locklear. The family will receive friends at Pierce- Jefferson Funeral and Cremation Services, Kernersville Chapel on Thursday, December 14,2023 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Adam Ray Johnson, officiating. Interment will be at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point.
