Thelma Fay Hensley Giuffra

Thelma Fay Hensley Giuffra, age 91, passed from this earth into God's heavenly presence June 12, 2011 at 11:32 P.M. at her home surrounded by her four loving daughters. The last week of Thelma's life she was visited by 47 of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren from near and far. They all showed her love and thankfulness for her most wonderful life. She is survived by her four daughters, Patricia Mullins, Sharon (Bob) Tollett, Kathleen (Rupert) Parra, Nancy (Ralph) Darrow; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; step-sons, Frank, Jr. (Mary Jane) Giuffra, Gary and Steven Francis; nephews, Dr. Daniel Church, Dr. Henry Church; and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Giuffra; granddaughter, Debra Kay Tollett-Klein; brother, Wray Hensley; twin sister, Velma and her husband, Reverend Henry Church; and son-in-law, Keith Mullins. Thelma was a faithful servant of God; His Son, Jesus; and His spiritual kingdom. She loved her family and friends with never ending love. She enjoyed singing hymns, music, working in her flower garden, her pets, taking the less traveled road and writing poetry. All these things kept Thelma busy and with a ready laugh or tears if need be. She will be greatly missed until that great-blessed morning, her memory is forever sacred. Friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday, June 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18 at 2:00 P.M. at Community Church of Pine Grove, 14045 Ponderosa Road, Pine Grove. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Pine Grove.
