Theodore S. Kenz
June 11th, 1950 - February 4th, 2021
Chicopee-Theodore S. Kenz, 70, passed away February 4, 2021 at home. He fought the struggles of addiction long and hard but lost the battle and he is now at peace. Born June 11, 1950 in Springfield, he was the son of Theodore J. and Shirley D. (Blais) Kenz. Teddy grew up and has been a lifelong resident of Chicopee. He proudly served his country in the US Army and served within active duty from 1985-1989. He continued the service to his country in the Reserves for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Markelon) Kenz, his son, Jason Kenz, his sisters, Shirley Mark of Belchertown and Joanne and her husband David Grout of TN along with in-laws, Jean and Stewart Dempsey of PA. Teddy also leaves his football buddy, Denise. Teddy was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Wayne Mark in 2015. All services will be private to the family. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Dakin Humane Society, PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101 or Lorraine's Soup Kitchen & Pantry, 170 Pendexter Ave., Chicopee, MA 01020.
