Theresa Picciocca Bilinski
May 22nd, 1926 - July 5th, 2006
Theresa Picciocca Bilinski, 80 of Valley View Road, passed away Wednesday July 5, 2006 at her home. Born on May 22, 1926 in Amsterdam, New York, a daughter of the late Stefano and Angeline Colucci Picciocca. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School. Theresa was employed for many years as a glove maker for various glove mills in Amsterdam. She also worked for the former Gabay?s Clothing Store and later Argersinger?s Clothing store both in Amsterdam. She was a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam and was a member of the former St. Agnello Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and playing cards with her friends and family. She was married on May 14, 1950 to Eugene Bilinski who passed away on August 29, 2001. Survivors include her loving family, two daughters, Donna Bull and her husband Dennis of Fort Johnson, Gail Richards and her husband Bruce of Northville; one brother, Sam Picciocca and his wife Sophie of Amsterdam; one sister, Stephanie Masto of Amsterdam; five grandchildren; Melissa Bull Capezzuto and her husband Joseph of Rochester, Marcia ?Marci? Bull of Amsterdam, Michael Bull and his wife Susan of Rochester, Jill Richards LaFountain and her husband Tom of Broadalbin, & Jason Richards of Northville. Three great-grandchildren, Megan and Christopher Capezzuto and John Gleason. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Mrs. Bilinski was pre-deceased by three sisters, Jennie Agresta, Julia Martuscello and Mary DeMeo along with two brothers John and Anthony Picciocca. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 8, 2006 at 10:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00A.M. at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Grove St. Amsterdam with the Rev. Pascal Iannotti as celebrant. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Michael?s Cemetery in Amsterdam. Calling hours will be Friday Today from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Theresa?s memory to Community Hospice of Amsterdam, Manny Corners Rd., Amsterdam, NY 12010 or to G.A.V.A.C. P.O. Box 11, Park St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.
