"Theresa (Kielty) Dougherty, 85, of Federal St., died Tuesday, February 16 in Hadley. Born in Larksville, PA., September 27, 1924, she lived in Garden City, NY for many years and has lived in Belchertown since 2007. She was a Registered Nurse, and, before retiring, worked for many Catholic hospitals during her career. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 57 years, Everett C. Dougherty, along with her 2 sons, Charles K. and his wife Mary of Midland, MI, and John and his wife Leslie of Belchertown. She also leaves 4 grandchildren, Kevin, Kyle, Rachel and Katherine Dougherty and two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Braden Dougherty. Calling hours will be Sunday, February 21 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple Street, (Rte. 202). Friends and family may gather Monday by 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home to process to St. Francis Church for a liturgy of Christian burial which will begin at 10:00 a.m. For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Francis Church Building Fund, Park St., 01007. "
