Theresa, 56, died of cancer on September 23, 2013 in Olympia, Washington, her home of 47 years. She was born January 14, 1957 to Joseph and Donna (MacDonald) Murphy in Aberdeen, Washington. She was a devoted employee at the family-owned Ben Moore’s Restaurant. Theresa was a comical jokester, who loved her family, being outdoors, playing pranks, reading, playing games and puzzles, cooking, and keeping in touch with friends on Facebook. She was devoted, selfless, resourceful, loving, kind, forgiving, strong, and independent. She is survived by her son, Jacob Murphy of Olympia; daughters, Hester Holtz, Ami Holtz and Ashlee Holtz, all of Olympia; brothers, Michael Murphy, Tim Murphy, and JD MacDonald; sister, Felicia Backowski; and grandchildren, Marcell Alden, Cozmo Tripp, Spencer Bryant, Ethan Bryant, Ezra Murphy, Julian Kennedy, and Mia Alexander. She was predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Dominic Murphy, Matthew Murphy, Melissa Murphy, and Marcy Scheelke. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
