A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 9, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church for Theresa Lucido. Mrs. Lucido passed away Friday, January 2, 2009 at her home here in Chico. She was 85. Born October 5, 1923 in Casa Blanca, Morocco to Vincent and Rose Russo. She met and married Antonio Lucido in Tunisia, North Africa April 25, 1940. Antonio preceded in death September 17, 1998 here in Chico. Mrs. Lucido was a great seamstress, and Restaurateur. She loved music, and travel. She was a 50 year member of the Sons of Italy here in Chico and Monterey. But above all, her family was her life. She leaves behind three children, Catherine Lucido of Chico, Angelo Lucido, and Vincent Lucido, both of Chico; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Russo of France; sister, Rosetta Pagano of Pittsburg, CA, and brother, Alfred Russo of Chico. Visitation will be Thursday evening Jan. 8, 2009 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home, followed by a Vigil at 7 p.m.
