Thomas "Tommy" Daugherty
October 25th, 1920 - December 24th, 2015
Born in Huron, SD October 25, 1920 to Effie and Thomas Daugherty. The family moved to Silver Plume, Colorado when Tommy was just 4 years old and later moving to Idaho Springs, Colorado. Tommy served in the United States Army during World War ll, stationed in Germany and Italy as an ambulance driver. He came back to Idaho Springs where he went to work for Curnow Transportation as a driver hauling coal, gasoline, and groceries. He would later go to work for Rio Grande Motor Way until his retirement in 1982. He leaves behind his wife of 68 1/2 years Doris and 5 children; Arthur (Donna)-West Chesterd, PA, Gerald (Maggie)-Golden, CO, Barry (Lyn)-Wichita, KS, Candace-Idaho Springs, CO, and Tammy-Neodesha, KS, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. No services will be held at this time. Donations can be made to Charlie’s Place, Dumont, CO
