Thomas "Skip" Mickel Field
December 2nd, 1931 - February 22nd, 2015
SKIP FIELD passed away with his family at his side on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Winter Haven Hospital. Skip was born Dec. 2, 1931 in E. Moriches, NY but lived in Florida since 1950. He lived In Auburndale for the past 7 years & previously resided in Pembroke Pines. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean conflict. Skip was a professional water skier & owned a ski school in Broward. He worked as a yacht broker in MA @ Norwood Chris Craft & Rex Marine Center. Moving to FL he was Sales Mgr. @ Saltaire Marine & Striker Aluminum Yachts before opening Skip Field Yacht Sales in 1988. He worked on the Ft. Lauderdale Billfish Tournament & served as member & President of the Marine Industries Assoc. He is survived by his companion of 28 yrs. Pat Boal of Auburndale; Daughter Kelli Field & Granddaughter Autumn Milark of Ft. Lauderdale; Pat's Children Kate (Dave) Mix of Royal Palm Beach & Tom Boal of Lake Alfred; Pat's Grandchildren Brooklyn & Joslyn Mix of Royal Palm Beach and Sister Joanna Gormley of Dedham, MA. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to Hospice.
