Thomas Janney Heath

Thomas Janney Heath died of natural causes September 4, 2013 at his home in Lakewood, Jefferson County, Colorado at the age of 67. He was born December 8, 1945, in Denver, Colorado. He was the eldest son of Joseph Hyde Heath and Joan Heath. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Pamela Heath, by his son Randall Heath of Bozeman, Montana, his daughter Elizabeth Heath Wardinsky and grandchildren Thomas James Baldwin and Nicole Vaughn Baldwin of Helena, Montana, by his mother Joan Heath of Monument, Colorado, and brothers Joseph Hyde Heath of Larkspur, Colorado and Mark Heath of McLean, Virginia. He attended George Washington High School in Denver, graduated from the University of Utah in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and from Northwestern University†™s Traffic Police Administration Training Program in 1978. Thomas retired as a Lieutenant from the Denver Police Department in 2002, after 32 years of service. He served over 37 years as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserves, first at Buckley Air Force Base then at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs retiring in 2005, during this time he served two tours of duty with the Reserves in Turkey. He was a marksman receiving the Bronze Pistol Badge and Distinguished Pistol Shot Badge in 1980. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and left behind many friends and extended family. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, Colorado.
