September 12th, 1948 - March 12th, 2018
Thomas L. Homan, 69, passed away on March 12th, 2018. He was the husband of Janet Nielsen. They shared 48 years together. Tom was born in Charlotte, Michigan on September 12th, 1948. He was the son of Jay Dale Homan SR and Mary Salter. In his youth he had a passion for ice skating and shared this passions with siblings over the years. He attended Charlotte High School volunteering as a Junior Deputy through the Eaton County Sheriff’s Department and graduated in 1966. He served in the Army from 1966 to 1969. He was employed at Snoqualmie Casino for 10 years as an EMT. He also was a volunteer firefighter for King County Fire District # 44 for over 33 years. Tom loved to watch his Mariners and Seahawks. He will be remembered as a caring, loving, jokester that wanted everyone to be happy. Tom loved his family and talking about his grandchildren. He is survived by his spouse Janet Nielsen, son Michael Homan, daughter Franie Homan, daughter in-law Tara Homan, son in-law Matthew Herrington, three grandchildren Gavin, Joani, Zoey, and siblings Betty Polhamus, John Polhamus, James Polhamus Jr., Mary Heath, Esther Homan, Jay Homan, & 42 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Jay Dale Homan SR, mother Mary Salter SR, siblings Robert Polhamus, Theresa (Teri) Homan, Arlene Frith, Eugene Polhamus, nieces and nephews Joel Homan, Julie Clark, and David Polhamus Tom’s Celebration of Life will be held on April 7th, 2018 @ 1:00pm @ Fire Station 96 17920 SE 400th ST, Auburn, WA 98092. Please see the Google Maps link to plan your drive. Because of limited space please RSVP thru the below link. This event is free to all to attend. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the below fundraiser for King County Fire District #44.
