Thomas Oscar Lee

November 17th, 1931 - January 11th, 2019

Thomas Oscar Lee, Jr. passed away on January 11th, 2019 at the age of 87. Tom was born in Harlan, Kentucky. He graduated high school from St. Andrews Episcopal Boarding School in Sewanee, Tennessee. From there he attended the University of Louisville graduating in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Tom entered the U.S. Army assigned to the Special Service Forces. He was stationed in Maryland where he met his wife Gloria M. Brown and they married March 2nd 1957. They moved around frequently in the early years settling in Naperville, Illinois where they raised their two daughters. In later years, he and Gloria retired to Albuquerque, New Mexico and Tucson, Arizona. In addition to spending time on the Jersey shore with his family fishing and catching Maryland blue crabs, Tom enjoyed playing tennis, watching sports, and was an avid reader of history. Tom was a loving father and husband. He was thoughtful, gentle, and kind. Tom is survived by his wife Gloria; daughters Donna Romero of Chesterfield, Missouri and Cara Taylor of Lake Oswego, Oregon; grandchildren Tyler Romero, Julia Romero, Kristin Taylor, and Cory Taylor, sons-in-law Artie Romero and William Taylor. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to your favorite charity.
