Thomas Clark Leeper, 84 Arvada resident since 1958 died Friday 11/11/11 at his home with his family. Tom was born on 6/28/27 in Waterloo Iowa to parents Leland and Agnes Leeper. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry Leeper. Survived by wife, Topper; daughter Lynn and husband Rick; son Tom; son Bob and wife Cyndy; two grandchildren, Jessica and husband Rich; Matt and wife Beverly; 3 great grandsons, Bryce; Mason and Maddox Tom served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He attended college at the University of Iowa. Tom and Topper were married on June 25th 1949 in Boone Iowa. In 1958 they moved their family to Arvada. Tom started the Leeper Insurance Agency in 1961. It is still in business today run by his son Tom. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce; Charter member and past president of Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis; Charter member of Arvada Elks. Tom was an avid golfer. He was a member of the men's club at Indian tree Golf Course. He would be on the golf course 2 to 3 days a week with his group of friends. His major accomplishment was when he shot his age when he was 76. He also had 2 holes in one. Tom also enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to different golf courses. The highlight was his trip to Ireland and Scotland; playing the old course at Saint Andrews. Many trips were made to Albuquerque to visit Lynn and family. A memorial luncheon will be held 11/20/11 from 2-5 at the Arvada Elks Lodge at 5700 Yukon. St. Birth: Jun 28, 1927, Waterloo, IA Death: Nov 11, 2011, Arvada, CO
