Dorothy Ream

Dave, Patty, and Mike, I saw the obituary in the Loveland newspaper this morning.  I immediately recognized your names and thought of those now long ago days working with you during construction of the Avon wastewater treatment plant.  Dave and Mike your mother sounds like a wonderful woman who gave much love to her family, friends, and community.  My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

What a wonderful childhood we all had growing up at the Ream family farm.  Seemed like we went there  every weekend.  It was always fun times watching our parents doing things together and then having fun playing cards and games after the work was done.  You always knew the food was going to be great because Arlene was such a great cook!  So many memories there but the one I really remember most about Arlene was when I was probably 8 or 9 and I was staying there.  It had rained really hard outside and she let us all go outside in our barefeet and run through the soft mud !! Then we got the hose out and cleaned up.  Riding the shetland pony, making forts in the hay barn, playing monopoly and war (John).  New Years Eve was always a special time. In later years my family went to visit Arlene and she took us up to Estes Park and we hiked with her.  Our families were so close and we missed them very much when they moved to Colorado.  I hope they are all having a great time together again.

To my cousins Mike, Dave, John and Becky and all of our family, I would like to send my most heartfelt condolences to all of you. She was a wonderful person and I pray God be with all of you in this sad time. Some of my fondest memories as a child were at the farm with all of you. I was very lucky to have an aunt that was as caring and special as she was. God bless all of you!

Arlene was a wonderful neighbor for many years to my mother, Lydia Lesser, and others living on Cimmeron Dr. in Loveland.  She often brought my mother beautiful flowers out of her yard.  I particularly member her gorgeous Dinner Plate Dahlias.  Her thoughtfulness and witty personality will surely be missed.  My prayers to the family.

I worked with Arlene at HP for many years. She was always kind and did a great job. I enjoyed talking with her. She had interesting stories to tell. She will be missed.

We lived neighbor to Bruce and Arlene for many years, on Escondido Drive.  Arlene always had a friendly wave as we drove or walked by.  She was especially kind to our two young daughters.  The Halloween "treat or trick" was always something extra special.        Arlene was the kind of neighbor who, in a bind, you could borrow a cup of sugar from.  Her many kind acts will be cherished.  Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Even though I had not visited with Uncle Norman in a number of years, I will always remember his dry sense of humor and how he made us laugh.  He is the first of my uncles and my aunt to leave us, and I will miss him very much.  With love, Evelyn   

To Norm's family. I worked with Norm while he was having his health problems but he was so brave and still tried to work. He was one of the hardest workers I've ever met. I will miss his humor and the talks we had of our Lord Jesus Christ. Norm was a sweet gentle man who did truly love the Lord. My prayers are for you his family that you will find God's peace that passes all understanding as you go through your time of sorrow. Be comforted in knowing that he touched so many lives and that his work here on earth is done and that he now rests in the Savior's hands. God bless you all.

Ellen and Family I am so very sorry for your loss. This is such a shock and loss to all of us who knew Steve from our fraternity and college days at N.A.U. Steve was Mr.AEPi in all of our eyes, especially mine. He was one of the founding fathers of the Nu Alpha Chapter at N.A.U. He was one of the main reasons that I pledged AEPi. Steve never wavered for his love of the fraternity, N.A.U. and U of A basketball. He was always there for you if you needed anything anytime including the shirt off his back. I last saw him this past January at a gathering of brothers for our annual meeting to share past college stories , latest personal news and just to remind each other of what a great group of guys we had in the fraternity.
