Obituary for Thomas James (Tom) McGrath Thomas James McGrath, 85, of Ocklawaha, Florida passed away August 10, 2020 at Ted & Diane Brandley Hospice House, Summerfield, Florida. He was born on October 6, 1934 in Erie, Pennsylvania to James and Gertrude McGrath. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to his retirement he worked as an Electrician in the construction industry. Thomas is survived by his daughter, Joanna Faye McGrath of Ocala, FL, his son, Matthew Patrick McGrath and Daughter-in-law, Penny McGrath of Summerfield, FL, nieces: Gayle Macfarlane of Chardon, OH, Marilyn Bowers of Erie, PA, Janice Morris of Rush, NY, nephews: Robert McGrath of Northeast, PA, John M. McGrath of Shepherdstown, WV, Grandson Patrick Gerald McGrath of Ocklawaha, FL, granddaughters: Vanessa Grissom of Ocklawaha, FL and Marlaina Licari of Summerfield, FL, and numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews, step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Until his passing, he was the oldest living McGrath in the immediate generations since the passing of Doris McGrath, his senior. He was preceded in death by his parents, his 3 brothers Edward McGrath, Richard McGrath, Gerald McGrath, his wife Betty Jo, and sons, Thomas Howard “Bud” McGrath and James Edward “Jim” McGrath.
