Thomas 'Tom" Merrill

Tom Merrill, age 72, of Aurora, CO passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born on January 13, 1951 in Maryland, the son of Joan (Wade) and Charles F. Merrill, Jr. Tom married Anne Coss on August 17, 1972 in San Diego, CA. Tom achieved his Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mechanics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and went on to retire from United Launch Alliance as an Aerospace Engineer in 2016. In Tom’s spare time, he enjoyed hiking, playing bridge, playing tennis and watching soccer. Survivors include his wife, Anne Merrill; children, Sarah Merrill of Aurora, CO, Bethany (Jason) Leleck of Parker, CO; brother, Charles Merrill of Cardiff, Wales; sister, Margaret (John) Van Aken of San Diego, CA. Tom was preceded in death by his Father, Charles F. Merrill of San Diego, CA and his Mother, Joan (Wade) Merrill of San Diego, CA and one sister, Deborah Merrill of Greeley, CO. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 pm, Friday, November 10, 2023 at Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church (PEPC), 9030 Miller Rd., Parker, CO 80138. The Merrill family has invited all of the guests to stay for a nice sit down dinner after Tom's service.
