Thomas C. O'Donnell

O'Donnell, Thomas 92, of Largo. The beloved husband of Mildred passed away on February 12, 2016. He was born in Lowell, MA. Son of Jack and Gladys O'Donnell. He served in the US Navy aboard a mine sweeper during WWII and honorably discharged in 1945. He worked as Chief of Survival Training and Rescue at Hanscom Field in Bedford, MA. He was an avid tennis player. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mildred (Millie); his three sons, Bill, Bruce, and Brian O'Donnell, and one daughter-in-law, Peggy O'Donnell. And one very dear cousin, Hank Collins. He leaves behind nine grandchildren, Bill O'Donnell, Beth O'Donnell, Brittany O'Donnell, Shanelle O'Donnell, Holly Szklarz, Kelly O'Donnell, Jared O'Donnell, Charles O'Donnell, and Patrick O'Donnell. Four great-grandchildren, Keagan and Colby Szklarz, and Colton and Cooper Kennedy; one brother, John O'Donnell and sister-in-law, Fran O'Donnell; sisters-in-law, Loretta Cavelli, and husband, Raymond Cavelli, and Madeline Jacques. He is predeceased by one brother, Bill and sister-in-law, Dot O'Donnell, and one sister, Ilene. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 1PM at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38th Ave N, St. Petersburg 33710. In lieu of flowers, donations in may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
