Thomas "Tommy" Michael Phelan
June 30th, 1984 - August 8th, 2021
A celebration of life will be held for Thomas “Tommy” Michael Phelan, 37 of Chico, on August 28, 2021, at the Bille Park Pavilion, 6261 W. Wagstaff Road, in Paradise, CA, 1:00-4:00 PM. Tommy passed away at 10:47 PM on August 8, 2021, after losing control of his motorcycle in Chico, CA. Tommy is survived by his father, Michael Phelan of Chico; mother June Wittwer of Minnesota; daughter, Jade Harmony Phelan of Paradise; and sister Quinn Nacol of Magalia. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and boyfriend. Tommy was born on June 30th, 1984, in Sacramento, CA at UC Davis Hospital. He spent most of his life in Paradise and Chico. Growing up he played soccer and ran cross country. He also enjoyed skateboarding with his friends. When Tommy was interested in something, he worked at it to master it. He was great with his hands, especially on engines and transmissions, and just about anything with a motor he could fix or build. At the age of 27, his daughter was born, and he showed his tender, loving affection as a father. He loved to be outdoors. He found that he loved driving around town, or up in the mountains in his truck finding fallen oak trees to cut firewood, which motived him to start a small business. He was gifted with having a “green thumb” and spent a lot of time in his garden perfecting his techniques. Tommy had a big and gentle heart, playful personality, and he loved his family and friends. He truly lived for the moment in life. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Arrangements are under the direction of Brusie Funeral Home.
