Thomas Joseph Phillips, 63, of Colorado Springs, passed away on December 15, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born to George and Mary Jane (Hedrick) Phillips on December 4, 1956 in Chicago, IL. Thomas grew up with his 4 siblings in Elmherst, IL. He graduated from York High School and entered the Air Force. He moved to Colorado in 1982 and worked for TRW and later for Continental Airlines as an Avionic Mechanic. He married Jean Manning in 1983 and started a family together. In 1996 he went back to school to earn his Bachelors in Computer Information Technology from UCCS to begin his IT career. He worked for many years at Oracle Corp. in Colorado Springs. Tom had a love for flying, biking, and fishing. He had a laugh that was contagious and a smile to match. He is survived by his children, Kristin (David) Mondt, Lauren (David) Suppes and John Phillips; grandchildren Elijah, Philip, Leonard, Theodor, and Kylie; siblings Bill (Debbie) Phillips, Jim (Marcia) Phillips, Mary Beth Phillips, and David (Maria) Phillips, and many nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
