Thomas Clark Rooney

Thomas C. Rooney, age 86, of Waukesha passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2017. Tom was born on August 8, 1931 in Pennsylvania, the son of the late Thomas and Leona (Eagan) Rooney. Tom married Patricia Joachim on September 3, 1955 at St. Phillips Catholic Church in Green Bay, WI. Tom was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. William Catholic Parish in Waukesha. Tom worked as a metallurgical engineer for Wisconsin Centrifugal and later as a environmental engineer for Rexnord in Milwaukee. Tom is survived by his wife, Patricia of 62 years of Waukesha; children, Terri (Dale) Umhoefer of Waukesha, Lori Rooney of Franklin, Thomas E. Rooney of Waukesha, Daniel P. Rooney of Albuquerque, NM, and Michael J. (Patty) Rooney of Waukesha; grandchildren, Brad Umhoefer, Krista (Scott) Wilcox, Andy (Allie) Umhoefer, Cheyenne & Zeke Baker, Tom "T.J." (Kelly Anne) Rooney, Nelson Rooney, Tim, Shawn, Kimberlie, Alex, Matt, and Bethanie Rooney; great-grandchildren, Cody and Logan Wilcox. Tom was loved and will be remembered by other friends and relatives. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Jackie Rooney. Visitation will be on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI. Graveside service will be private at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
