76, was born to Hanna Elizabeth (Bellantoni) Schettino and Thomas John Schettino on January 15, 1940. Thomas joined the U.S. Navy at 17 years old. He worked with electronics and as a UDT member. After the military he became a hairdresser and makeup artist for various movies and commercials. Thomas was a proprietor of several salons in New York and Massachusetts. He was vice-president of the New York City Hairdressers Board of Trade. Thomas also worked with the Look Good Feel Better Program with the America Cancer Society. He also made custom hair pieces. His second career was an electronic technician with the United States Post Office. He is predeceased by his mother, father, and sister, Barbara Schettino Matra. Thomas "Skip" is survived by his wife, Frances Fiorito Schettino; son, Thomas (Min Zhang) Schettino Jr. of Austin, TX; daughter, Mary-Beth (Steve) Schettino Sandusky; son, Timothy Lee Schettino; grandchildren, Angela Schettino, Charles Mathis, Colby Mathis, Margaret "Maggie" Sandusky, Alexei Dominick Schettino; brother, Dennis (JoAnn) Schettino; sister, Dorothy (Roger) Gagnon, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 1PM, following the graveside there will be a gathering at the Sugar Creek Club House located,10265 Ulmerton Rd, Largo, FL at 6PM.
