Thomas M. Skidmore

Thomas M. Skidmore, 78, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on May 15, 2023 at home. He was born August 5, 1944, in Red Mountain, California to Floyd and Thelma Skidmore. Tommy attended Rio Grande HS then joined the Navy in 1962. He was a member of the Albuquerque Fire Department from 1966 until his retirement in 1987. Tommy always went out of his way to help anyone in need. He enjoyed life to the fullest, dancing, ballooning, playing cards with family, and being on the lake on a pontoon boat. Most of all, Tommy loved spending time with brothers and sisters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Smoked BBQ ribs and card party get-togethers were the joy of his life... and those participating! Survivors include his beloved other half, Irene Baros who lovingly cared for him through his illness, sister, Rosie Bohannon (Herb), daughter, Ragina Peña, granddaughter Brittney Vallejos, and great grandchildren, Kaiden and Emma along with many beloved nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Marilyn Turpin, Dixie Robinson, Billy Warner Skidmore, Jon Skidmore, Sonja Smith and George Skidmore. Services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10:30am at Riverside Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life reception will take place Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Mountain View Community Center at 1:30pm, 201 Prosperity Ave SE 87105
