Thomas Wayne Thornhill

Thomas Wayne Thornhill, age 72, of Las Vegas, died Saturday, August 25, 2012. Thomas was born May 29, 1940 in Los Angeles, CA to the late LeRoy and the late Lillian (Chester) Thornhill. Thomas served in the Air Force and Navy from 09/16/1957 to 07/26/1963, and worked as a helicopter pilot. In the last 20 years, he drove a school bus in Los Angeles. Thomas was a member of Elks Club, and was great sailor and always had a sailboat. He liked to fly small fixed wing planes, rode a Harley, and liked to fish. He is survived by his wife Nancy Thornhill, three daughters, Terralee Michele Thornhill of Las Vegas, NV, Brandy (Adam) Forest of Hidden Valley, CA, and Nicole Timmer of Northridge, CA, three sons; Thomas (Elizabeth) Thornhill of Laverne, CA, Scott Timmer of Beaverton, OR, and Joe Wagner of Camarillo, CA; two sisters, Rebeccah (Tim) Harris of Hisperia, CA, and Christina (Bill) Wallace of Paige, AZ; grandchildren, Sheena Gipson, Nolan LeGault, Cody Thornhill, Madison McKay, Kayla Smith, Clarissa Smith, Arianna Smith, and Tom Coen; and great grandchildren Gavyn Gipson, Lilyana Gipson, and Tobias Gipson. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV 89147. .
