Thomas “Tommy” Lee Travelstead November 2, 1955 – November 4, 2021 Thomas Lee Travelstead, 66, of Summerville, SC passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021. A Military Honors service will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Beaufort National Cemetery at 12:00pm followed by his burial. Arrangements made by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial. Tommy was born November 2, 1955, in Portsmouth, VA, the son of the late Junior Lee Travelstead and Donna Jean Travelstead. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his sisters, Sherrie Hicks, and Susie Travelstead. He loved driving his #73 at Summerville Speedway in his earlier years and enjoyed all racing events. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Yvonne Faye Travelstead; daughters, Christina (Steven) Hutto, Jennifer (Chris) Renaud; son, Thomas Lee Travelstead Jr; 3 sisters and 3 brothers; granddaughters, Ciara (Brandon)Smith, Cara Travelstead , Kindle Renaud, Kortney (Hal) Owens; grandsons, Logan Renaud, Ethan Hutto and Mason Travelstead; great grandsons Easton and Ryan Smith; great grandaughters, Abbigail and Olivia Smith and Allie Owens; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
