Tim Cravens
January 20th, 1956 - October 7th, 2022
Tim Cravens, age 66, passed away in the early morning of Friday, October 7th in Trauma ICU at The University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. He went peacefully into the arms of the Lord surrounded by his children Andy and Emily and the love of his life, their mother, Sharon Cravens. Tim was a well-known local home builder in Lexington, KY where he was born and raised. His 45 years in construction include many homes in Copperfield, Andover, Meadow Creek, and Waterford, where he raised his family. Home Building was a trait passed down to him by his Father Kenneth Cravens who preceded him in death along with his mother, Mary Cravens. Tim lived life in the fast lane as sung by his favorite band, The Eagles. Along with his love for classic rock, he also had a passion for fast cars and cool rides. His favorite of over 50 cars and trucks over the years was the 1982 Corvette. He also liked to vacation with his family in Daytona Beach, FL, and always went to the Daytona 500 along with many other NASCAR races. Above all this, Tim is a follower of Jesus Christ. He loved the Lord and instilled his faith into his children's lives. He was a proud member of The Vineyard Church and always welcomed and greeted people at the door with his outgoing personality. Tim is survived by his love Sharon Cravens and their children; son Timothy Andrew Cravens (Andy), wife Krystal Jackson Cravens, and daughter Emily Lauren Cravens. Three grandsons Brady Kenneth Callihan, Timothy Preston Cravens, and Parker William Cravens. Tim is also survived by his brother Terry Cravens and wife Mona of Los Angeles, CA, Lynn Cravens and wife Connie Jo of Lexington, KY, Edie Cramer and husband Don of Columbus,OH, Mike Cravens and wife Gayle of Lexington, KY, and Janie Smith and husband Bob Smith of Lexington, KY. Eight nieces and nephews as well that will miss Uncle Tim. In Lieu of Flowers, the children ask for donations to be made in Tim’s name to the Ronald McDonald House and The Lexington Humane Society. A Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm Tues., Oct. 11, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center - Brannon Crossing. A Celebration of life service will be Wed. 1pm Oct. 12, 2022 at the funeral home.
