Tim Mauck, of Waukesha, surrounded by loved ones and good friends, passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the age of 56, after a short battle with cancer. Tim was born on December 31, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of William and Betty Lou Mauck. He met Stephanie Duvall his Freshman year at Miami (of Ohio) University, where he played clarinet in the Marching Band. He later married Stephanie on June 15, 1985 and they have spent the last 32 years together, building a life based on love and commitment to each other and to their family. Tim was a man of great faith. His service to St John's Lutheran Church was notable, both as a key leader and by his participation on mission trips. He was passionate about serving others, and especially the people of El Salvador. His warm and welcoming smile could light up a room, and his gifts of leadership and organization were indispensable. He was always willing to help others and lived his life knowing he had a greater purpose. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, relative, and friend, as well as a dedicated employee. Tim worked as an Account Manager for Envision IT. He loved watching Major League Baseball and cheered on the Brewers and the Reds (and not in that order,) as well as the Cincinnati Bengals. Tim also loved to play fantasy baseball and football, as it was a way to connect his love of sports with his love of his friends. Tim was also an Eagle Scout and active in his community through many service organizations, and was a member of the Friends of Autism. But mostly, Tim was simply a great man with a huge heart and a big laugh, who understood life's priorities and did his very best to inspire others to focus on what's most important. Tim will be greatly missed by his wife, Stephanie; children, Julia and Robert "Rob" Mauck; parents, William Mauck and Betty Mauck; siblings and nieces/nephews, Linda (Scott) Smith, Taylor and Cori; Janie (Shelia Storck) Mauck; and James (Marilyn) Mauck, Jordan, Taryn and Cameron; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Suzanne (Terry) Godown, Katie, and Rachel; and his best friend Keith (Dianne) Weiskittle, who was like a brother to him and incredibly supportive during his battle. He will also be missed by many friends, neighbors, co-workers and other relatives. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, therapists, friends, and family members that took such special care of Tim while he battled his disease. They would also like to give special recognition to Tim's employer, who provided financial stability and unwavering support during an incredibly difficult time. In the true spirit of Tim's giving nature, he chose to donate his body to the Medical College of Wisconsin. The visitation for Tim will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 1pm until 3pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, 20275 Davidson Road Brookfield, WI. 53045. The memorial service will begin at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Wisconsin Independent Learning College (an Autism specific program) memo Building Fund (PO Box 851, Waukesha, WI 53187); St. John's Lutheran Church memo El Salvador Education for Life Fund (20275 Davidson Road, Brookfield, WI 53045), or Julia Mauck Benefit Fund (c/o Waukesha State Bank, PO Box 648, Waukesha, WI 53187) to support Julia as she starts at UW-Madison this fall, majoring in Special Education.
