Timothy John Bass Mr. Bass, 54, of Charlotte died at his residence on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. He was born April 19, 1955 in Charlotte, NC son of the late Gary C. Bass and wife, Martha S. Bass of Charlotte, NC and mother, Betty Jean Burnette of Concord, NC. Tim grew up in Charlotte and was a graduate of Myers Park High School. He was baptized at Park Road Baptist Church where he was a member. Tim owned and operated King Recovery Enforcement out of downtown Charlotte. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was loved by everyone who knew him. Also surviving are his wife, Becky Bass, sister, Julia Payne,; brothers, Steve Readling and wife, Debbie and Jeff Readling; sons, Timothy John Bass, Jr. and wife, Angie and James Jarrell Bass and wife Ashley, daughters, Mary Bass Carpenter and husband, Scott, Catherine Christina Bass and Hailey Nicole Modesitt; son, Clinton Marschall Bass; step-son, Daniel Wayne Modesitt and wife, Bailey and step-daughter, Jennifer Jenelle Modsitt. Tim also leaves behind his grandchildren, Hannah, Josh, Jacob, Isabella and Julia Bass and Kylie, Michael and Ava Carpenter and Jayden Campora and Gavin Modesitt. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 5:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Park Road Baptist Church, 3900 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28209 or Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204
