Timothy Sean Cahill, 62, of Kernersville NC passed away peacefully Monday, December 11, 2023.

A native of Summit NJ Tim was the son of Leslie Charles Cahill, Jr., and Norene Marie Cuff Cahill, both deceased.

Survivors include his loving fiancé, Angela Tobler and her four children, Zach Mathews and wife, Amanda, Joey Mathews and wife, Allenia, Darrell Mathews, and Whitney Mathews and fiancé, Nelsen Opare-Addo; three sisters, Kathleen Edwards and husband, Mark, Maryellen Cahill and husband, Geoffrey Golder, and Elizabeth C. Wirth and Andrew Elliott; one brother, Charlie Cahill and wife, Anne, and eight loving nieces and nephews.

Tim was incredibly passionate about all the people he loved, his family, his lifelong and many friends, his work families, and especially Angela. Coming close to the people he loved was his love for the NY Giants, NY Rangers Hockey Team, of course Prince, and his beloved dog, Buddy. He spent his early life in Summit, New Jersey graduating from Summit High School in 1979. He was fiercely proud of his time as a member of the Summit Hilltoppers football team. Proud number 84. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and received his Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration (A.A.) with Union County College in Union, New Jersey. Tim was known for building incredibly successful sales teams. He was most recently Director of Sales at the Marriott, Winston-Salem, where he helped the Leadership Team recover from the impact of Covid. Prior to Winston-Salem, Tim held Leadership positions with InterContinental Hotel Groups at the Crown Plaza Ravina in Atlanta with Wischermann Properties/Schulte Hotel Group at the LeMeridian Atlanta Perimeters with HEI Hotels and Resorts in Minneapolis, MN, Marriott International in Washington, DC, Seaview Golf Resort in Absecon, NJ, and the Hanover, NJ Marriott. His team successes were marked by many company accolades and awards: 100% Sales Team Satisfaction at IHG; nominated and won the 2015 Sales Team of the Year with Starwood Star and Resorts; GM Special Achievement Award and Crystal Achievement Award with Mariott International. Tim was best known for his positive spirit and upbeat attitude towards whatever personal or professional adversity he faced in life. This incredible spirit was never more evident than with his recent health care crisis. His approach was to game plan with his Doctors and Nurses on his path to recovery. It was amazing to see the deep relationships he quickly built with his medical team, as they fought together for his recovery. All of us were devastated that the outcome, hoped and prayed for, wasn’t realized.

A time of visitation and service celebrating Tim’s life will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services, Kernersville Chapel, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC. A memorial service conducted by Rev. Don Martin will begin promptly at 2:15pm.
