Timothy Lloyd Connolly
May 27th, 1950 - June 6th, 2021
Timothy Lloyd Connolly, father, grandfather, brother and Army Veteran, passed away on June 6, 2021 at the age of 71, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida. He served in the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne Division, “Screaming Eagles”. He received The Army Commendation Medal for “Heroism in the Republic of Vietnam”, and The Army Commendation Medal for “Exceptionally Meritorious Achievement”, 1969-70. Born in Dearborn, Michigan, May 27, 1950, he married Marjorie Ossenmacher and took up residence in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he worked as a painter by trade. Together, they had two children, John and Maria. Tim is survived by his son, John (Cheri) Connolly; daughter, Maria (Justin) Brady; five grandchildren, Kaylee, Jaycee, Gavin, Bryson and Paisley; brother, Kevin; four sisters, Maureen, Linda, Mary and Margaret, and many nieces and nephews. He was lovingly known as “Pop Pops” to his grandchildren. He was preceded in his death by his parents, Lloyd and Helen Connolly and brother, Tom Connolly. A gathering for family and friends is scheduled for 10:30 am with a memorial service to follow at 11am on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, located at 2201 Dr. MLK Jr St., St. Petersburg, FL 33704. His urn will be interred at Bay Pines National Cemetery at a later time.
