Timothy Wayne "Tim" Dwiggins
April 12th, 1949 - August 8th, 2023
Timothy Wayne "Tim" Dwiggins, 74, of Kernersville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. A native of Winston-Salem, NC, Tim was the husband of Debbie Sue Rogers Dwiggins and the son of Robert Franklin Dwiggins and Hazel Marie McCandless Dwiggins, both deceased. Tim served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971. He loved racing. Tim raced for 30 years at Bowman Gray Stadium and many other tracks. He also, built many race cars for others over the years. Tim has numerous racing buddies whom he loved dearly, Donny Stevens, Thomas Brown, Danny and Lee Trivette, Stevie and Susan Kimel, and many more. He loved to turkey shoot on Saturday nights at the Ruritan Club and had a very special bond with all the people there. Tim was self employed. He ran a welding machine shop for over 50 years. He loved nothingmore than working in his shop and talking and being with all the friends he made there. Survivors include his wife, Debbie of the home; two sons, Anthony Wayne Dwiggins of High Point, NC, and Danny Allen Dwiggins and wife, Jennifer of Kernersville, NC; four grandchildren, Zoe Marie Dwiggins, Danielle Dwiggins, Camdyn Griffin, and Alysa Pope; one sister, Martha Kay Swaim of Kernersville, NC; one brother, Joseph Arnold Dwiggins and wife, B.J. of Pittsboro, NC.; and many nieces and nephews whom he cherished and loved dearly with all his heart. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Knowles. A memorial service celebrating Tim's life will be held at 4:00PM Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Liberty Baptist Church, 1548 Old Hollow Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. I would like to give a special thanks to Anthony for all his help, support and strength he gave to his Dad. He was always there to help and comfort Tim through some very tough times. Tim and I are so very proud of you and the young man you have become. Also, a very special thanks to Scott Pope who helped and supported Tim so very much. Thanks to PastorGary Styers and all at Liberty Baptist Church who lifted Tim and I up in prayer and support through his illness. Thanks to everyone who stood byus and prayed for us. We felt each and every prayer. The love and support that we have received from everyone will never be forgotten. May God bless each and everyone of you.
