Timothy Foote
April 16th, 1950 - August 22nd, 2024
Timothy Lee Foote was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 16, 1950 to Jimmie and Bill Foote.
Tim, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, attended 1st through 12th grade in Osceola, Missouri. He graduated high school in 1968. Tim attended Central Methodist College in Fayetteville, Missouri his freshman year with a basketball scholarship.
After his first year, he transferred to Missouri State University, where he was a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity. In 1979, he married Terry Leech and they had two children, Brendan and Stephanie. Tim was a successful business owner, investor and entrepreneur. In recent years, Tim was heavily involved with Missouri State with his time and philanthropic efforts. Tim was on the Board of Directors at SMU.
Among his many hobbies, he was an avid golfer and world traveler. He enjoyed fishing in Alaska and Colorado. “Grandpa Tim” treasured his time with his grandkids. In 2017, Tim purchased a home in The Villages, Florida where he and Lisa, his later in life partner and love, resided. The two were inseparable and had a relationship defined by fun, laughter, travel and time with family.
Tim was preceded in death by his mom, Jimmie and dad, Bill. Tim is survived by Brendan, and his wife Mackenzie, Stephanie and her husband Jason, and his four grandkids; Emery, Devan, Holden, and Kennedy. He is also survived by his three brothers, Steve and his wife Merrilee, Bill, and Rich and his wife Karen, along with his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tim was an amazing man, full of life and love, generous beyond compare and a true friend to many. He will be missed by all.
