Timothy "Timmer" Dean Garton
April 25th, 1960 - April 6th, 2023
Please follow the link to view the livestream for Timothy's service. https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/8888203969 Tim was born at St Luke’s Hospital on May 25, 1960 to Robert W. and A Pam Garton. Tim attended Bishop Kelly High School, then entered the Army. After the Army, he enjoyed traveling, eventually residing in Arizona, Colorado and Texas. His jobs varied from construction in Arizona and Colorado, to a roustabout on an oil rig in Texas. He became a master craftsman: remodeling homes and businesses. His talents to name a few are visible at the Three Island Crossing Interpretive Center in Glenns Ferry, Idaho, custom work at the Kasino Club in Stanley specifically the custom staircase, as well as various projects required by Enlightened Homes LLC of Sun Valley, Idaho. He was generous with his talent and time supporting projects for friend and family; from custom flooring to decks and roofing. Tim could do it all. In 2013 at the age of 53 Tim completed a dream of getting his GED. He was so proud of this accomplishment. Tim loved his family, cooking, NASCAR and Harleys. He loved nature and spent a great deal of time camping, even opting to camp near job sites, sometimes out of necessity other time out of desire. Tim never met a stranger. He was rich in friends, assisting anyone he could with his tool bags in hand, or a strong shoulder to lean on. Tim was preceded in death by his beloved mom; Pam Garton, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents: O. Lee and Tirzah Paronto, Orville and Bernice Garton, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his dad; Robert W Garton, sisters; Bobbie Jo (Rick) Navarro, Jackie Atkins, and Michelle (Brent) Stansell. Nieces and nephews: Jennifer (Kelly) Waldher, Derik (Anika) Standley, Courtney Knudsen, Randi (Josh) Moore, Tyler (Christy) Stansell, and Seth (Jessica) Stansell, and many great-nieces and nephews. Our sincere thanks to Enlightened Homes for their love and support of Tim throughout his illness. Tim’s amazing care givers: The doctors and staff at St. Alphonsus Cancer Center, Dr. Choutka and his Neurology staff at St Al’s, as well as Tim’s St. Luke’s Hospice Team: Chaplain Craig, RN DeAnna and his personal aide Kali. There are no words to express our thanks for everything they did for Tim and our family. Life Care Center of Idaho whose love and care in his remaining days was priceless. Their commitment and compassion was second to none. A special thanks to his RNs Nancy and Brea: we will never forget your support and hugs throughout his stay. Tim’s memorial service will be held under the direction of Summers Funeral Home at Mountain Meadow Christian Center, 38 Robie Creek Ln 83716, on Tuesday April 18th at 1:00 PM. Tim’s private interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Alphonsus or St Luke’s Hospice.
