Timothy James Hoskins

There must be a power-line needed to be built in Heaven, for God called on a special Journeyman Lineman. Timothy was born in Wayzata, Minnesota, the fifth child of 12. After graduating from MiLoca High School, he served his country for five years in the US Army. Then as they say, he got in the trade and started his career as a Journey Lineman and joined the IBEW Local #1547 in Alaska, where he worked for a while. Then Tim travelled around, finally settling in Washington. He retired after 27 years. Tim’s greatest joys in life were building power lines; hunting with his son, family and friends; spoiling his five grandkids, Brittanie, Addison, Tayson, Wyatt and Tyler. He enjoyed horseback riding, camping, barbecuing for family and friends, traveling, his Budweiser, and his hats from the rodeos. As his son so rightly stated, he had a way with that special grin of his, certain finesse about him especially if something mechanical broke down, but thanks to his father he could build and fix anything around the home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Robert of Minnesota; and sister, Debbie Siemers of Minnesota. Surviving are his mother, Shirley Hoskins of Milaca, Minnesota; wife, Sheryl Hoskins; son, Casey Robert Herman-Hoskins of Alaska; stepson, Brandon Joe Jessen of Washington; five grandkids; brothers, Robert “Bobby,” Greg, Brian, “Scott,” Steve, John, Dennis and Bruce Hoskins; sisters, Sally Olson and Penny Jernberg; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
