Fultonville, NY—Timothy Patrick McGinnis, 53, of Riverside Drive, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam with his loving family at his side. Born July 25, 1960 in Rockville Center, Long Island, New York and he was the son of Robert and Patricia Keller McGinnis. He was a raised and attended Cobleskill High School. He moved to Fultonville in 1985 where he has since lived. Tim was employed as a carpenter with the Local 291 Carpenters and Joiners Union in Albany. He worked for various construction companies in the Capital District and for local contractors. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and family. Tim liked to go fishing and he was an expert at the game of darts and he was a member of the Amsterdam Dart League. On May 17, 1993 he married the former Georgiana Vosburgh. Besides his wife he is survived by his mother Patricia McGinnis of Cobleskill; two daughters, Meagan (Bill) Andrews of Johnstown and Katrina McGinnis of Gloversville; a son, Sean McGinnis of Fultonville; a brother Robert McGinnis of Howes Cave; his sister, Sandy Lizotte of Austin, Texas; a grandson, Trent; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY with the Rev. Don Klob officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 24th from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contribution may be made to the family, please make checks payable to Georgiana McGinnis.
