Timothy Adam Meehl, born in Lewiston, Maine, June 4, 1967 to Jack Boyd and Carolyn Louise (Wight) Meehl. Tim suffered for many years from rheumatoid arthritis and recently developed an infection that his body could not overcome. He died on July 7, 2024.

Tim grew up in Andover, MA and spent his summers on Sabattus lake in Maine. He graduated from Andover High School in 1985. Shortly after graduation he joined the US Air Force. Following training, he was stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB in AZ, McGuire AFB, NJ, and completed his military service at Bangor Air National Guard Base in Maine. Tim met his wife of 37 years, Michelle, during his first Air Force technical training station at Keesler AFB, MS.

Tim worked for many years at Filter Belts, Inc, in Winthrop, ME where he honed the skills needed to eventually start is own business, TA Meehl & Associates. He built that business and then created VonMehl Company, Inc. Denross New England, where he was President and co-owner with his late brother Dan. Denross New England was a family business where he employed his late son Timmy, his son Adam, his niece Cherie, and so many of the crew that he considered family. Tim took an immense amount of pride in the work he and his crews did for the paper industry at mills all over the country.

Tim and his wife moved from their home of 25+ years on Cobbosseecontee Lake in Monmouth, ME to Florida in 2016. Tim quickly became involved with the American Legion Post 110 in Port Charlotte and served in various officer positions over the years. Most recently he was a beloved bartender at Post 110 where he served cheer in many forms including jokes and wise cracks.

Timothy was predeceased by his son Timothy Jack, both of his parents, Jack and Carolyn, sister Karen, and both brothers, Michael and Daniel.

Tim is survived by his wife, Johnnie Michelle (Bayse), son Adam George and Breanna Driscoll, grandson Ellison Michael, grandsons James Michael and Austin Jack and their mother Brittany, his sister Susan, and many many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tims quick wit, thirst for fun and big heart will certainly be missed. He was affectionately referred to as ‘Uncle Tim’, ‘UT’, and ‘Dadio’ by so many friends that he considered family. He had so much pride and joy in being ‘Santa’ for his Florida friends and Legion families.

The passing of his family, and particularly his son, unexpectedly only last year, was extremely difficult for Tim for quite some time. Unofficial cause of death is surely a broken heart. Rest easy and fly high, you are now with all those whom you have missed so very much.
