Timothy Mitchell Metcalfe

Tim Metcalfe, born July 27, 1955, of Federal Way, Washington passed away in his home on Wednesday, January 17th. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He is survived by his son; Travis Metcalfe, three grandchildren; Brayden Metcalfe, Peyton Metcalfe, and Jeremiah Metcalfe, his mother; Marjorie LaFrance; and Brother and Sisters; Mike Metcalfe, Maureen Metcalfe, and Jennifer Metcalfe. He was married twice; to Linde at age 20 and later to Cheryl. He also had a significant relationship with Dorothy until she passed away in 2007. Tim loved his family, friends, and pets. He had a talent for finding the positive, making people feel good about themselves, and making us laugh in a way that brought joy and lightened the burden of others. He enjoyed life and loved to have fun. Tim had an interest in knowing how everything worked and had a talent for electro-mechanical things. When he was younger he loved his Dodge Challenger and the many races at SIR. He loved motorcycles, four wheelers, and camping trips. Later in life, you would often find Tim helping family and friends, walking his dog, fishing, or gardening. He had many friends and coworkers whom he loved and cherished. His longest tenure were the years he spent as a metal and wood blinds manager with Hunter Douglas. He loved investing in people and helping them build skills that carried beyond the work that needed to get done. A Memorial Service will be held February 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Edwards Memorial in Lakewood, 11020 South Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA. All are invited to attend the service and a reception will follow as we celebrate and remember his life.
