Timothy Rittenhouse
April 11th, 1951 - August 13th, 2012
Mr. Timothy Rittenhouse, 61 years old of Sanford Avenue, died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born April 11, 1951 in Chillicothe, Ohio, a son of Fred and Dorothy Shoemaker Rittenhouse. Mr. Rittenhouse graduated from God's Bible School in Ohio with a B. A. in History and was a graduate of Philadelphia Bible College with a Masters in Christian Counseling. He taught History at Perth Bible Academy. He then accepted a position with Harlan Sprague Dawley, Inc. taking him to their N.Y., N.J. and Indianapolis, Indiana locations. Timothy was a gifted musician enjoying his guitar and many other instruments. He enjoyed a lifelong ministry of music. Timothy was of the Presbyterian faith. He was predeceased by his father Fred and his wife the former Patricia Nordby in 2011. Timothy is survived by his mother Dorothy, daughters Kara Pablo Montanez and Amy Gus Rivera both of Amsterdam, his stepson Brendon Fuge of Fultonville, his brothers Steven and David Rittenhouse both of Ohio, his sister June Wayne Dalton of Ohio and his grandchildren Anthony and Elliyanna Montanez, Gideon, Aaralyn, Caleb and Atalie Rivera. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
