Timothy D. Sams
May 12th, 1955 - June 7th, 2020
Timothy Douglas Sams was granted his angel wings on June 07, 2020. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Timothy was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 12, 1955 to Barbara and Armand Sams, who preceded him in death. Timothy was married to Denise Sams for 43 years. They spent most of their lives in Colorado. They were blessed with three children, Angela Sams-Isham, Christopher Sams and Ryan Sams. He had five grandchildren, Sofia Isham, Caden Sams, Lyla Sams, Nolan Sams and Gabriella Isham. His also had a brother, Mike Sams, and two sisters, Vicki Coffman and Nancy Forester and a dear niece, Brandy Turco. Tim suffered from Pancreatic Cancer for seven years. He fought his Cancer vigorously and even participated in a Clinical Trial in order to help others in the future. Through all of his courage and strength he reminded us of the preciousness of life. Timothy served 8 years in the Army in the Infantry as a Scout and a Communication Technician. He also served in the Air Force Reserve at Peterson Field in the 302nd as an Aircraft Mechanic for almost 4 years. He received an Honorable Medical Discharge from the military as a Staff Sergeant. If Timothy could be a cowboy, he would have been. He loved the wilderness; it could be camping, hiking or fishing. He shared this love with many others. He enjoyed watching westerns and reading Louis Lamour books. He lived the Cowboy’s Code - Live Each day with courage. Take pride in your work. Always finish what you start. Know where to draw the line. When you make a promise- keep it. Do what has to be done. Be tough, but be fair. Revelations Chapter 21- Verse 4; “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.” Those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help everyone. We will always remember him by his smile. We love you, rest in peace. Tim will be buried in a private service at Ft Logan National Cemetery on June 26, 2020. We will be having a Celebration of Tim’s Life for friends and family on June 28, 2020.
